But while everyone likes having an ol’ reliable position that will get things done on a Tuesday night before Conan comes on, there are also positions that lurk in the sexual fantasies of men until we get to live them out. The best  sex positions for men are the ones that do more than get the job done. They entice us with visuals of breasts and butts; they seduce us with power and control; they torture us with deep penetration and pacing.

After speaking to my crack team of researchers, we have compiled a list of the top 5 sex positions for men (in no particular order). Maybe your go-to position is on this list, or maybe these positions are the stuff of fantasies for you, but either way these best sex positions meet all the criteria to excite and please men.

Doggy Style. It’s easy to predict the first one on our list, doggy style. For some reason, every guy wants to flip that girl around and romp like Rover. We commonly found that men like to be able to grab a hold and, well, grab a hold and really fuck something. And doggy style is amazingly suited for such a task – you can grab onto her shoulders, hips, and ass for leverage as you’re thrusting. Another reason why this sex position is so desirable is the view. The visuals of her curves and his penis going in and out of her excites on a primitive level. The sense of dominance, the power to thrust, and the hot visuals make doggy style one of the best sex positions for men.

The Cowgirl. The cowgirl sex position is also popular among men for some of the same reasons as doggy style.
